Summer Solstice occurs when the sun reaches the Tropic of Cancer. The sun is at its most northern point in the sky and reaches its maximum elevation. This is when we experience the longest day and shortest night. This is June 21st. It is a very powerful spell casting time.

This Summer Solstice as I do each year I will be casting 5 spells harnessing the power of the Summer Solstice and incorporating ancient rituals of the Greek God Helios- the sun god.

Helios was the Greek sun god who climbed the vault of heaven in a chariot drawn by snow white horses to give light and in the evening descended into the ocean. In later times he was called Apollo.
